Love my boys

Polaroid Pictures

During the photo shoot Becky's assistant (her sister) took polaroids. There were some fun shots, Ian especially showed off for this; he kept telling her to take another one. He thought the instant printed picture was pretty dang cool.

Family Pictures

I won a free photo session (and some yummy snickernoodles) through a friend's sister's blog a few months ago. Becky Leung did a great job and we had a lot of fun. I know she was not quite sure what to do with Cooper who refused to smile in any pictures, but we just know that's how he is right now and so all the pictures she captured fit his personality perfectly. Check out her blog, I'd definitely recommend her as a photographer; she has a great eye and caught some really fun perspectives and shots of all of us. I especially love the vibrant colors, as well as the black and white versions. I just printed black and white shots for our living room and they look great on the entertainment center.

Christmas Card 2009

We have a great time preparing our Christmas letter each year; Chris writes the letter and I open Photoshop Elements for the first time during the year to make our card/picture (and amazingly when printed as a 8x12 it turns into my sole scrapbook page for the year as well!). We love sending and getting Christmas cards each year, especially reading about what you've been up to during the year, so if we missed sending you a card this year via email or mail (we did a little of both this year) leave a comment or email me your address, we love staying up-to-date with friends and family, at least once a year via the annual Christmas letters.

Merry Christmas everyone!

My Mommy Blog

I am realizing how much of me hasn't been recorded since I was on my blogging hiatus this last year or so. I would like to figure out a way to better record my life (and think out loud) than I have, but hopefully in a more balanced way. I am amazed by all the blogs out there, both personal family blogs as well as my recent frenzy following frugal blogs (and a few about marriage and organization). There is always so much to learn but always so much to do as well. I hope to continue finding good, healthy outlets, and I'd like it if I would allow myself time to enjoy recording about myself and our little family. I created another blog awhile ago, it's mostly for me and I don't post on it often, but it's a nice outlet/place for me to type down thoughts and ideas that come to me or that I learn from others in regards to being a homemaker, mother, wife, etc. Right now it will likely end up being a little of everything--preschool outlines, my thoughts and current quandaries about parenting, birth, nursing, housekeeping, pregnancy, marriage, the powerful influence of mothers and women, etc.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and comments if you have an interest in visiting it. I truly believe that as we support each other in our separate but similar efforts we are stronger and call all be blessed and grown and learn together.
